Making Payments in Person

There are a number of ways you can make payments in person

You can use the automated payment machines to make payments in cash or by debit or credit card.

The Post Office

Post Offices will accept payment in cash, by cheque (payable to "Post Office Counters Ltd") or most major debit cards.

You can pay:

  • Council Tax
  • Housing Rents and Leaseholder Charges
  • Business Rates
  • Sundry Debtors invoices
  • Housing Benefits overpayments
  • Estates Rents

You can use this payment method whenever there is a bar code printed on the front of your bill or rent card. Please take care of your documents as should the bar code become damaged it may become unreadable.

A separate receipt will be issued which you can attach to your payment documentation. Please keep all receipts safe. There is no extra charges for this service.
