The Community Climate Change Strategy has now been launched and the Council is pleased to announce the new Low Carbon Grants Scheme to encourage sustained behavioural change in their locality to support actions contained within Climate Change and Waste Management Strategies for Nottingham.

All applications must aim to meet one or more priorities contained within our strategies:

• Inspire positive environmental behavioural change within the city
• Make issues like climate change, sustainability, waste management, peak oil, and energy use understandable and locally relevant.
• Engage with Nottingham City residents who may not have considered environmental issues before as well as those who are already actively reducing their environmental impact
• Support existing projects which demonstrate new ways of engaging the local community or offer further reductions in carbon emissions than the existing project as well as commence new projects and activities
