Nottingham will celebrate St George's Day in style on Wednesday 23 April 2014!
To mark St George's Day the grand parade, organised by The Royal Society of St. George, will process at noon from the Forest Recreation Ground, down Mansfield Road and arrive in the Old Market Square for 12.30pm.
The parade will feature St George and the Dragon, costumed characters, marching bands and members of The Royal Society of St George.
From 11.30am to entertain you while you await the arrival of the procession there's a variety of traditional English music and dance peformers including the Keith Kendrick Band, the Ripley Green Garters Ladies Dance Team and the Belzebub Band. Performances end 2pm.
Our gigantic St George's Day flag will once again be proudly displayed in front of the Council House.
On Saturday 19th, commencing at 11.30am, the City's Scouts will process from the Castle to the Old Market Square as part of their St George's Day celebrations.
