Making payments to the council
You can make payments to the council in a number of convenient ways including paying online, by telephone, by direct debit or if you prefer in person at a council office.
Payments online
The following payments can be made online. Click on the appropriate links below to view each payment page:

- Council Tax

- Fixed Penality Notices (Including littering)
- Housing Rents including Leaseholders Service Charges
- Housing Benefit Overpayments

- Penalty Charge Notices (Including Parking Fines, Bus Lane offences and other PCN's)
- Sundry Debtors Invoices

- Workplace Parking Levy
You can pay Council Tax, Housing Rents and Leaseholder Charges, Business Rates, BIDS, Sundry Debtors invoices, Housing Benefits overpayments and Estates Rents at any Post Office. Post Offices will accept payment in cash, by cheque (payable to "Post Office Counters Ltd") or most major debit cards. You can use this payment method whenever there is a bar code printed on the front of your bill or rent card. Please take care of your documents as should the bar code become damaged it may become unreadable. A separate receipt will be issued which you can attach to your payment documentation. Please keep all receipts safe. There is no charge for this service.
You can pay Council Tax, Housing Rents and Leaseholder Charges, Business Rates, BIDS, Sundry Debtors invoices, Housing Benefits overpayments and Estates Rents at any PayPoint or Payzone outlet where you see these signs. Payment must be in cash. You can use this payment method whenever there is a bar code printed on the front of your bill or rent card. Please take care of your documents as should the bar code become damaged it may become unreadable. A separate receipt will be issued which you can attach to your payment documentation. Please keep all receipts safe. Details of your local PayPoint outlet can be found at the PayPoint website. Details of your local Payzone outlet can be found at the Payzone website. There is no charge for this service.

Please note that Nottingham City Council does not issue parking fines, it does issue Penalty Charge Notices for parking contraventions. The term parking fines is used as it is a common term used by the public searching on this web site
