Spring Term 2019 Pupil Premium Plus Funding: Update for Designated Teachers and Head Teachers

Pupil Premium Plus is Government funding provided to schools to support interventions and activities that improve educational outcomes for children in care of statutory school age. The Nottingham City Virtual School is responsible for allocating the funding for its Children in Care. 

This term’s application round for Pupil Premium Plus funding for the period January to March 2019  will open on Thursday 10th January and will close on Friday 25th January 2019.  

This application process is relevant to schools that have a Nottingham City statutory school aged Child in Care on their roll. 

Designated Teachers and Head Teachers will be sent details of how to apply via an email on 9th January by Lindsey Foster, Pupil Premium Plus Administrator.

This is the last opportunity for schools to apply for Pupil Premium Plus funding for the 2018 to 2019 financial year (1st April 2018 to 31st March 2019).

 After 1st February 2019 the Virtual School won’t be able to process any new requests from schools for Pupil Premium Plus for funding under the current  financial year. This applies to

  • Any late spring term 2019 applications
  •  Any missed applications for autumn or summer terms 2018
  • Any requests for additional funding (via Additional Funding Request form)

The 1st February deadline has been set to enable the Nottingham City Virtual School and the Corporate Finance Team to undertake its closedown processes in line with financial regulations Government conditions. 

Please note,  any Pupil Premium Plus applications relating to the 2018 to 2019 financial year submitted after 1st April 2019 (when the new financial year has commenced) will not be considered as all funding has to be allocated by 31st March 2019. Any retrospective applications will be in breach of the Government’s conditions of grant.
