Chai Experience: Share your memories
Celebrating South Asian heritage and its influence on Nottingham, supported by Nottingham City Council and the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
What is the Chai Experience?
We are a Social Heritage project that aims to; record, collect and collate memories and artefacts from the 1950s onwards of the South Asian community in Nottingham.
We are looking for photos, written documents, small objects and ephemera. This material will be shared to celebrate the impact and influence that Asian citizens have made on the rich social heritage of Nottingham.
The collected material will be kept at the Local Studies Library as a unique collection documenting South Asian social history. Including online access, a touring exhibition and resource packs.
Chai Experience is funded by the NationalLottery Heritage Fund and Nottingham City Council.
