Sherwood Library Talk: Flood Resilience and blue-green infrastructure

20 Feb 10am – 11am Sherwood Library
Join Sherwood Library Club for a talk from Dr Emily McDonnell about flood risk management.

There is a recognised need for a transformative change in how cities manage water in response to increasingly frequent and extreme rainfall events, urban expansion and ageing sewer infrastructure.

This talk will explore how Blue-Green infrastructure (e.g. rain gardens, green roofs, swales, wetlands and restored river channels) can help manage flood risk while delivering a range of benefits to the environment and society.
