Jobs and Training Information at Your Library

Every Nottingham City Library has a Jobs Info point with books, leaflets and electronic resources to help you find the work and training you want

If you’re looking for work or training, there are lots of ways your local library can help you.

Jobs Info Areas

All our libraries have a Jobs Info area where you can find lots of useful information to help with your job search:

  • Books on CV writing, interview skills, application letters, job searching and more
  • Prospectuses for local training and study providers
  • Information about local organisations helping jobseekers in your area
  • Flyers for upcoming Jobs Fairs

These sessions are open to anyone needing help with looking for work. Please note the age groupings on the Clifton sessions – all other sessions are open to all ages.

COBRA

COBRA (or Complete Business Resource Advisor) is an online resource packed with information about setting up in business. It’s also great for researching career options – find out what qualifications or professional registration you would need for your chosen career.

Access it in the library or at home with your library card number.

Useful websites – Information4Living

Information4Living is an online hub, directing you to local and national sources of help and support on a range of topics including Jobs, Careers and Skills.

Computer Learning Offer

We offer One2One basic IT sessions – if you need help setting up an email account, filling in an online form or using word processing software, ask in your local library to book a session. Details of One2Ones and any forthcoming group learning sessions are on our Computer Learning page.
