Residents of Nottingham City Council will be able to apply for a Fuel Voucher towards their Electricity or Gas worth £49.00.

Residents will need to provide their Council Tax reference, so please have this ready before the call.

To be approved for a Fuel Voucher, a resident will need the meet the following criteria.

  • In receipt of Council Tax Support
  • For pre-payment customers – Have £50 or less credit on their pre-payment meter
  • For credit billing customers – Have a amount of £20 or more owing on their last statement

Once an application has been processed, the team will run a check on the Council Tax register. Upon checking, the voucher will be processed.

Ways to process a voucher are:

  • Text message
  • Email
  • Post

Vouchers processed by text and email will be sent within 7 working days. Postal vouchers can take up to 10 working days.

In order to use one of these vouchers, the applicant should go to their nearest Pay Point store where the shop worker will top-up their heating / electricity card, or issues a cash voucher for credit billing, smart meter or British Gas pre-payment applicants.
