Being a SENCO
Course Length: 2 hours
Course Leaders: EYFS SEND Workers - Sam Caig and Mel Foulston
Audience: PVCI Practitioners (Day Nurseries, Pre-Schools and Childminders) who have a SENCO role
Course Overview: The course will support SENCOs to understand their responsibilities to children with SEND and the setting’s approach to identifying and meeting SEND.
Aims:
- Examine early identification of children with additional needs in your setting
- Expand practitioners knowledge around breaking down skills into achievable small steps
- Provide the tools needed to write clear, descriptive targets
- Explore how to manage SEND Provision appropriately
On completion of this course and the New to SENCO course practitioners will receive a UK CPD Certificate.
