Making Interactions Count for Under 3’s
Course Length: 3 hours
Course Leaders: EYFS Teaching and Learning Specialist and EYFS Support Worker
Audience: PVI Practitioners working with children under 3, including schools who provide 2 year old places.
Course Overview: This session combines theoretical concepts with practical activities and will give practitioners the opportunity to reflect on their interactions with our youngest children and explore what makes an effective interaction, with babies and toddlers. They will leave the session equipped with ideas on practical resources and activities, which will help them to explore different techniques to support quality interactions through their day-to-day interactions with children, including making use of regular routines such as snack time or nappy time!
Course Aims:
- Develop knowledge of what makes an effective interaction with under 3's
- Develop confidence to assess the quality of interactions taking place in the practitioners environment, indoors and outdoors
