Course Overview: These 3 courses are free of charge to playworkers working in out of school provision and delegates can attend any, or all, of the courses to meet their individual requirements.
- Course 1: The Internal Space
- Being playful is part of being human, and engaging in play is both a fun and serious business! By recognising play behaviours and the adult role in children’s play, we can support and enhance the wide range of benefits that play gives to children of all ages.
- Course 2: The External Space
- Play will happen anywhere, but how can we maximise the opportunities and benefits it brings? By developing an understanding of effective and affective environments, we can create enriched and enabling play spaces.
- Course 3: Games and Activities for All
- Creating opportunities for play and creativity can happen anywhere and at very little cost. This session is an opportunity to have a go at practical activities while developing your understanding of what is needed to create and extend opportunities for play.
