Early Years Foundation Stage Profile

The Early Years Foundation Stage Profile is completed in the final term of the year in which the child reaches age five, and no later than 30th June.

Each child is assessed against the 17 Early Learning Goals, practitioners must indicate whether children are meeting the expected level of development (expected) or if they are not yet reaching expected levels (emerging). This information must then be shared with parents and/or carers, year one teachers and the Local Authority. More information can be found in relevant Assessment and Reporting arrangements here.
