Choosing Somewhere to Live
Care homes, sheltered housing and supported living
We will work with you to keep you as independent as possible for as long as possible, but there may come a time when you consider moving into a residential home.
Residential homes are able to offer 24-hour support for people who require it, this could be on a long or short term basis. Residential homes are designed to feel like a home from home and are able to meet a range of needs including those of people with dementia or learning disabilities.
For more information contact the Nottingham Health and Care Point on 0300 1310 300 Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 18:00 pm or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If your query or concern is urgent and it is outside these hours please call the Emergency Duty Team on 0115 876 1000.

Financial assistance towards residential care
The costs of residential homes vary, often depending on the type of facilities provided and the amount and type of care you need. If you require a nursing home to meet your nursing needs you may be entitled to a contribution from the NHS regardless of your income or savings. This would be paid directly to the nursing home.
