Travel to Work

Social Workers get free parking in council-ran car parks. Do you travel by train, or use a mix of public transport, such as the bus, train and tram? Then our travel schemes are for you! You can ask the Council to buy an annual pass for you and then pay this back over 12 months direct from your salary. There are also 10% discounts for new annual rail tickets and 5% discounts for renewals.  

Cycle to Work Scheme

As well as supervision and time with your management team, we have a range of tools available to ensure your health and wellbeing is as good as possible. We have an on-site Occupational Health service providing specialist support, a physio clinic and we ensure you have the right workstation tools including £150 towards any equipment you might need to be a hybrid worker and free eye tests. We also have loads of online resources available, a Wellbeing Wednesday newsletter and a Nottinghamshire Health Hub that is geared up for the Health and Social Care world. Not to mention our dedicated employee assistance programme providing support through counselling, CBT or a space to talk to someone, and we have specific trauma associated support.
