Notice after parking
Why you have received it
You did not display a Blue Badge
The parking spaces are reserved for people that have problems with mobility and hold a valid disabled person's Blue Badge. Personal independence is important for so many reasons and the UK’s blue badge schemes help those with disabilities access amenities and services with greater ease.
The scheme is open to eligible disabled people irrespective of whether they are travelling as a driver or as a passenger.
The use of these parking spaces by non-badge holders deny someone with a real need the opportunity to park within easy access of a facility, entrance or access route.
Inconsiderately using the spaces removes the ability for genuine badge holder to use the parking space to get in or out of their vehicle with ease.
You have used an invalid Blue Badge
The Blue Badge you have displayed is not permitted for use.
The badge is either:
- Expired
- Fake
- Changed
- Cancelled
- Misused
- Incorrectly displayed
- Damaged/illegible
The misuse and abuse of badge is a criminal offence and the authority can investigate further. This may result in a fine and a criminal record.
If you need to replace your Blue Badge because it has expired or is damaged you should contact the Local Authority where you live.
