Nottingham City Council has continued to provide help and assistance to Nottingham residents, made possible by the Governments Household Support Fund.
We have improved how residents can apply for Supermarket and Energy vouchers which will enable more people to apply and have the opportunity to receive support vouchers.
If you have difficulty in applying online, ask your family or friends to help first, or contact any of the community organisations who may be able to support and assist you.
Vouchers are no longer awarded on a first come, first served basis. All eligible residents will receive an equal chance of receiving a voucher if they apply during the application period but priority will be given to those who have not yet received any support from HSF7.
- Voucher Round 1 – April 2025 to November 2025
- Voucher Round 2 – December 2025 – March 2026
If you already applied in Round 1 and received either an energy or supermarket voucher, you can now apply again in Round 2. If you have applied and received a voucher in Round 2 from December onwards you cannot apply again.
Residents are advised that due to the much higher volume of vouchers released in November and December, the deadline for receiving vouchers from the February 2026 release is currently 16th March 2026.
HSF Applications Open 9th March 2026
A final issue of 1,500 supermarket vouchers and 1,500 energy vouchers will be available for residents to apply for in March 2026. Household Support Fund applications for Supermarket Vouchers and Energy Vouchers will re-open on Monday 9th March 2026 until midnight on Sunday 15th March 2026.
If you are successful, you will be notified by Friday 20th March 2026. We anticipate that the majority of vouchers will be issued to successful applicants by Friday 3rd April 2026. Please do not contact the council to enquire about when you will receive your voucher until after 6th April 2026. Due to the huge volume of applications, we are processing, we are unable to provide any update to residents before this time.
Please note that all Supermarket Vouchers Codes issued must be redeemed within 4 weeks or they will expire and not be re-issued.
