About our Organisation

Futures was established 28 years ago and delivers services to young people, adults and businesses. Our primary focus is to raise skill levels and provide careers guidance to maximise employment opportunities for our customers.

We take pride in helping people overcome their barriers and work hard to create an environment where aspirations can grow and new goals can be realised. Whether helping people choose a career, get qualified in a new skill, or find a job after years of unemployment, we provide the advice, guidance and practical support needed to help people achieve more in their work and their life.

About our UKSPF project

From 1st Dec 2023, Futures will be providing support across Nottingham City to economically inactive and long-term unemployed people aged 16-29 and 50+ who are looking to find education, training or employment opportunities.

We able to offer support with accessing free and impartial careers guidance, creating a CV, applying for courses, preparing for interviews, learning effective job search techniques, improving employability skills (e.g. communication, self-confidence, motivation), accessing wider services (e.g. health and wellbeing groups, community groups, volunteering opportunities), and more.

All participants will be allocated one of our highly skilled advisers, who will provide tailored support that meets their needs through one-to-one sessions and skills and employability workshops. They will also be able to signpost participants to wider services that could help them, and offer practical support to access these services.

We aim to work to people’s individual strengths and support them in removing the barriers that may be preventing them from progressing forward.
