About our Organisation
Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is one of the largest and most influential higher education institutions in the country. We are a university that is committed to driving forward meaningful change and we have received a wide range of prestigious awards for our research, dynamism and innovation.
Over many years the University has been a very successful provider of start up support, business growth, workforce development, and innovation services in the D2N2 area. This has included support for creative and digital businesses, innovation (including low carbon and sustainability), start-ups, and growing businesses.
About our UKSPF project
The ‘NTU Amplify’ programme (starting in April 2024) will deliver a comprehensive programme of activity aimed at supporting businesses in the Nottingham City area to innovate, grow, improve productivity, and become investment ready. Support will be available to start-ups, SMEs and mature businesses and their employees.
This programme will include:
- Two growth accelerators aimed at businesses in the low carbon and creative and digital sectors. This will include workshops, mentoring and peer-networking.
- Graduate Innovation Grants which will allow businesses to recruit a graduate on a short-term placement, aimed at addressing innovation challenges.
- Innovation Community Lab aimed at introducing innovation principles to early career stage professionals.
- Innovation Projects to support businesses’ R&D aspirations, drawing on NTU’s expertise and facilities.
