HM Coroner’s Service is currently receiving high volumes of referrals, in part due to a change in legislation relating to the Coronavirus Act 2020. This change means that more deaths must now be referred to the Coroner which may impact response times.

If a death has been referred to us, please wait for us to contact you rather than calling the service. We will be in touch as soon as we can.
