There are specialist domestic and sexual violence and abuse services that can help. Sometimes you may just want to talk to someone first.

These services are specialist commissioned local organisations who can help with advice, support and signposting.

Juno Women's Aid

Provides confidential 24-hour advice and telephone support to survivors, their families and friends, and professionals including referral for direct support from Juno Women’s Aid and support to find other services if required including safe accommodation (refuge).

Juno work with women, children, and teens who have been affected by domestic abuse in Nottingham City, Ashfield, Broxtowe, Gedling, and Rushcliffe.

Nottinghamshire Sexual Violence Support Services

Notts SVS Services for anyone (18yrs and over) in Nottingham or Nottinghamshire, affected by any form of sexual violence, recently or in the past.

Specialist sexual violence and abuse support service for women and men aged 18+. The service provides emotional, practical, therapeutic and advocacy support and help with reporting and pursuing criminal justice. This support is available, whether or not you choose to report to the Police.

Topaz Centre - Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC)

The Topaz Centre is a Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) that offers free, professional and confidential support and practical help to anyone in Nottinghamshire who has experienced recent sexual violence and/or sexual abuse. The Topaz Centre has trained specialist Forensic Nurses Examiners (FNE) and Crisis Workers, who will guide you through an assessment of your healthcare needs. If something has happened to you within the last 7-10 days, the Topaz Centre will be able to offer emotional support and will discuss options with you.

East Midlands Children and Young People's Sexual Assault Service (EMCYPSAS)

The East Midlands Children and Young People's Sexual Assault Service is a Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) located in a quiet part of the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham.

The SARC’s role is to support any child or young person (under 18) when they have experienced sexual abuse or assault. The SARC has highly trained specialist staff who provide sympathetic care and support to ensure that children, young people and their family are healthy and above all safe.

The Consent Coalition

The Consent Coalition provides sexual violence and consent information, signposting and resources for those in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire

IMARA - Empowering children and families to recover from the impacts of sexual abuse in Nottingham

.Empowering children and families to move forward from the impacts of sexual abuse and domestic abuse. Provide therapeutic support for children and young people aged 0 -18 years.

Mojatu Foundation - Working to tackle female genital mutilation (FGM), supporting people with mental health issues, refugees and asylum seekers, and community organisations, within multi-lingual and multi-cultural settings offering culturally sensitive and focused solutions. Empower and support Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) communities in Nottingham at risk from ongoing prejudice and whose needs are often overlooked.

Al-Hurraya - Provide culturally-wise counselling for survivors of domestic and sexual violence and abuse.

Nottingham Muslim Women’s Network - Provide support to Muslim women and girls and challenge attitudes that hold them back. Connects Muslim women, girls and statutory and voluntary sector organisations to create positive change.

Mental Health Crisis Helpline - Available to anyone in mental health crisis at anytime, anywhere across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
