Information for providers

Housing Related Support ('HRS') Services are targeted at people who are homeless; people with mental health problems and or substance misuse problems; people with learning difficulties; older people; younger people; women fleeing domestic violence; ex-offenders; and a number of other vulnerable groups. 

There are currently more than 35 different providers of Housing Related Support in Nottingham.

HRS services may consist of:

  • A home visit for a short period each day or week;
  • An on-site full time support worker;
  • Advice on home improvements;
  • A community alarm system

Services can be permanently attached to a property or be 'floated' in and out in accordance with the changing needs of a particular individual. The support provided includes a wide range of activities such as assistance with life skills, budgeting and managing a tenancy.
