Welcome to the Nottingham City Council's information page for the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) Cultural, Heritage, and Creative Capital Grant. We're excited to announce a funding opportunity designed to enhance and celebrate Nottingham's rich cultural, heritage, and creative sectors.

Nottingham City Council will utilise capital funding from its UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) to enhance the cultural and creative events and projects across Nottingham for its users. The CHC Capital Grant aims to assist Nottingham’s community organisations in purchasing the much-needed equipment to ensure that local residents have a wide variety of cultural experience on offer to them as well as supporting the growth of Nottingham ever growing creative sector.

The CHC Capital Grant will enable local community organisations to bid for a minimum of £10,000 up to a maximum of £12,000, which can only be utilised to procure equipment.

General Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to receive a grant your organisation must:

  • Be located within, or deliver Cultural, Heritage or Creative Arts event(s) / programme of activities within the administrative area covered by Nottingham City Council
  • Be a Community Interest Company (CIC), Company Limited by Guarantee, Social Enterprise,  Registered charity, Public body which delivers or hosts Cultural, Heritage or Creative Arts events / programmes or a constituted body, Nota private company or business
  • Have the relevant permissions (if required) from your landlord (this includes all Nottingham City Council Owed buildings) to deliver the events / programme of activities before your application is submitted

  • Equipment for events, festivals or activities
  • Cultural Musical equipment
  • Cultural cooking equipment
  • Digital equipment (cameras/ sound/lighting) for creative projects
  • Cultural clothing
