Hope Hut

About our Organisation

Founded in 2018, Hope Hut facilitates “activities you will love in the heart of the community” and aims to be a safe space for people in St Ann’s to find hope and a supportive community. Our activities include a running group for youth and adults (Running Hut), sports and activities for children/families (Summer Hut), and a warm space with food/drinks and games (Warm Hut). Held weekly (Tuesdays after school, term-time only) at our Hope Hut building and neighbouring primary school playing field. We also run a twice-monthly ‘Craft Hut’ (Mondays) for families and quarterly large-scale community events.

Summary of events and activities to be delivered 

Our regular activities, hosted at Hope Hut, 326 Gordon Road are open to all and include:

• Running Hut: a term-time Tuesday running club aimed at youth and adults (7.30pm April-October half term, 6.30pm October half term - March). 
• Summer Hut/Warm Hut: our after-school session for children and families every Tuesday in term time. From October-March this is our ‘Warm Hut’ running from 3pm-5pm and from April-October it’s ‘Summer Hut’ 5.30pm-7pm. 
• Craft Hut: a twice-monthly family craft activity session on a Monday 3.30pm-5pm. 
• Our upcoming large-scale community celebration events include:
  
  • A Summer BBQ, 15th July 6-8pm.  
  • A Family Fun Day at Bluebell Hill Primary School on 20th August, featuring inflatables, games, and food. 
  • Christmas Party - Our annual festive celebration. Date TBC. 

From September 2025, we will be starting three new activities (times and days of the week TBC): 

• Hope Bus: A youth service on a converted double-decker bus. This will take place on the Chase in St Ann’s on Mondays, starting in September/October.
• Parents Drop In: A new weekly term-time session hosted at Hope Hut, 326 Gordon Road.
• ‘Chasing Hope’: A 5-week evening ‘goal-setting course’ helping one another to set goals and fulfill our potential.
