Summary of events and activities to be delivered

Friday Night Socials at New Art Exchange are a series of free, twice-monthly cultural events celebrating the creativity and heritage of Nottingham’s diverse communities. Hosted at New Art Exchange in Hyson Green, each evening features a vibrant mix of live music, spoken word, performance and food, co-created with local artists and community groups.

Designed to be inclusive and accessible, the events attract audiences from across the city, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds, creating a relaxed, welcoming space where people can connect through culture.

No two nights are the same: from Afrobeat and Brazilian dance to poetry takeovers and Caribbean food pop-ups, the programme reflects the richness of Nottingham’s multicultural identity.

Supported by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, Friday Night Socials provide a platform for emerging talent, deepen community engagement in the arts, and help strengthen social ties across the city.

Events take place at New Art Exchange, 39–41 Gregory Boulevard, Nottingham, NG7 6BE, and are free to attend. Full listings and updates are available via the NAE website, social media, and Eventbrite.

These events are all about creativity, culture and connection, right in the heart of the community.
