Short Description of Organisation 

Nottingham City GP Alliance (NCGPA) brings together GP practices across Nottingham to improve health and wellbeing through collaborative, community-focused care.

Aspire PCN Social Prescribing Team supports residents to address non-medical factors affecting their health — from isolation and financial hardship to housing and lifestyle challenges.

We connect people with local services, community groups, and practical support. Recent activities include cost-of-living and wellbeing workshops, food and fuel poverty initiatives, mental health support sessions, and partnerships with local organisations to promote healthier, more resilient communities across the PCN.

Summary of planned Activity and events

This winter, PCN 9 is tackling fuel poverty and energy inefficiency through twice-monthly community sessions from November 2025 to March 2026. Led by our Social Prescribing Team with Nottingham Energy Efficiency and National Energy Action, the programme offers practical advice, energy-saving appliances, boiler checks, water bill discounts, and support for vulnerable households.

Alongside guidance on budgeting, healthy living, and government schemes, the initiative helps residents reduce energy costs, stay warm and well, and build long-term financial resilience — ensuring lasting benefits for individuals and the wider community.
