Household Support Fund

Nottingham City Council has continued to provide help and assistance to Nottingham residents by providing another £1.5 million of supermarket and energy vouchers for extra support over the winter months, made possible by the Governments Household Support Fund. 

We have improved how residents can apply for Supermarket and Energy vouchers which will enable more people to apply and have the opportunity to receive support vouchers.

If you have difficulty in applying online, ask your family or friends to help first, or contact any of the community organisations who may be able to support and assist you.

Vouchers are no longer awarded on a first come, first served basis. All residents will receive an equal chance of receiving a voucher if they apply during the application period but priority will be given to those who have not yet received any support from HSF7.

Residents can now apply again if you have already received either an energy or supermarket voucher up to November 2025 release. If you have applied and received a voucher from December onwards you cannot apply again as this is part of Round 2.

Household Support Fund applications for Supermarket Vouchers opened on Monday 2^nd February 2026 until midnight on Sunday 8^th February 2026.

Residents are advised that due to the much higher volume of vouchers released in November and December, the deadline for receiving vouchers from the December 2025 release is currently 18^th February 2026.

If you are successful, please do not contact the council to enquire about when you will receive your voucher until after 4^th March 2026. Due to the huge volume of applications, we are processing, we are unable to provide any update to residents.

Please note that all Supermarket Vouchers Codes issued must be redeemed within 4 weeks or they will expire and not be re-issued.

Help with Energy Efficiency Measures for Nottingham Residents

Housing Association Tenants

If you are a Housing Association tenant, you should contact your housing provider first to discuss any schemes they have to support you with reducing your energy costs and improving your homes efficiency. There may also be schemes that can help you on the AskLion webpages below.

Enviroenergy Customer Support

Enviroenergy supplies District Heating to over 5,000 domestic customers in Nottingham. Our dedicated Customer Service Team is trained to provide expert Energy Efficiency advice. If a home visit is required, one of our qualified engineers will attend and offer tailored guidance based on the property size, the number of occupants, and the installed equipment.
