Festive Collection Days

Please check your Waste and Recycling Collection Days over the festive period.

When we will return to empty your bin

We will only return to empty your bin if:

  • you put your bin out correctly and on time, and
  • our crew missed it by mistake

If you did not put your bin out in time, or if there was anything preventing the crew from accessing it, you will need to wait until your next scheduled collection.

If your bin has a sticker or hanger

If you find a sticker or hanger on your bin, please follow the instructions on the label.

Do not report it as a missed collection.
The sticker explains the reason your bin was not emptied and what you need to do next.

Completing this service should take around 5 minutes.

To complete this service you will need.

  • Your contact details
  • Address where the bin was missed
  • Type of bin

You must report a missed bin by 5pm, two days after your scheduled collection day.

Food waste trial areas

If you live in a food waste trial area:

  • If your food waste bin is not emptied on your collection day, please empty the contents into your green general waste bin for that week.
  • Present your food waste bin again on your next collection day.

Because this is a trial service, we may not have the capacity to return for missed food waste bins.

Assisted pull‑out service

If you receive assisted collections and your food waste bin has been missed, please use the Food Waste Feedback Form to report the missed bin.
