About the Centre

Conveniently located in Aspley, Nottingham, the Martin Jackaman Centre specialises in providing Day support for citizens with physical, sensory, and learning disabilities, helping them lead healthy, active, and independent lives.Martin Jackaman Centre

Our centre offers an active and sociable environment with opportunities to develop friendships alongside a wide range of activities designed to promote confidence, independence, self-worth, and an understanding of health and wellbeing issues.

We are committed to providing an inclusive service, regardless of ability, race, gender, or religion. We assist citizens in leading full and enriching lives while maintaining their cultural, physical, and emotional needs.

Nottingham City Council has eligibility criteria to identify which citizens qualify for our day services. This prioritises access for those with high support needs. Generally, assessments are conducted by social work teams and the adult contact centre, although a few citizens make their own referrals to our services.

If you wish to buy into the service without assessment, then please contact the Martin Jackaman Centre directly for more details on the contact number at the end of this page.

Activities offered are a reflection of our attendees’ needs and preferences as identified by individuals with support from their families, carers, external partners and through our advocacy sessions at the centre.

We offer a diverse range of activities for adults with learning difficulties. Catering for a wide variety of support needs it aims to provide Citizens that attend opportunities that are imaginative, holistic, fun and therapeutic in safe and welcoming environments.Martin Jackaman Centre sensory room
