Welcome to the Pakistan Centre Day Service
Operating in partnership with the Pakistan Centre, we provide services primarily to members from the Pakistani/Muslim Community who may be suffering from physical or sensory disabilities, have mental health needs, are socially isolated, or have other health issues.
At the Pakistan Centre Day Service, we are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our citizens by promoting independence, meeting personal needs, and providing a supportive environment that respects cultural values. Our service is thoughtfully designed to maintain or improve the well-being of each individual while also offering relief to carers.
We offer a wide range of activities and facilities tailored to meet the diverse needs of our community:
· Shopping Trips: Outings to local shops, ensuring that our citizens can enjoy the independence and pleasure of shopping in a safe and supportive environment.
· Light Exercise: we have onsite exercise equipment and provide chair-based exercise.
· Engaging Quizzes and Activities: Social activities like quizzes and games that stimulate the mind and foster a sense of community.
· Religious Sessions: We understand the importance of faith in daily life. Our religious sessions are conducted in a manner that respects and aligns with cultural and spiritual values.
· Purpose-Built Facilities: The Pakistan Centre is equipped with purpose-built ablution facilities and a prayer facility, including a wudu area, allowing our citizens to observe their religious practices with ease and comfort.
We pride ourselves on providing services in a culturally sensitive setting. Our team is committed to meeting the cultural, dietary, and linguistic needs of our citizens, ensuring that everyone feels respected and understood. Whether it's through tailored meals that respect dietary restrictions or communication in your preferred language, we strive to create an environment where all are welcomed and cared for.
Our service is not only about improving the lives of those who attend but also about offering much-needed respite to carers. We understand the challenges that carers face, and our day service provides a trusted and supportive environment where your loved ones can thrive.
Drinks are served on your arrival. There is choice of tea, coffee or a cold drink along with biscuits.
Freshly cooked meals are available every day and there is a choice of diet to meet individual users’ needs including vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. There is a charge for meals.
