The Nottingham City Council allocations policy aims to address the housing need in our city and contribute to the development of sustainable neighbourhoods.
Our Housing Allocations Policy enables us to allocate and offer homes to those in the highest housing need. However, there is a high demand for council homes in Nottingham and a very limited supply of available homes. People are encouraged to explore alternative housing options, such as finding accommodation in the private rented sector, to resolve their housing situation.
The Allocations Policy also reflects the Homelessness Reduction. If you are threatened with homelessness you should contact Housing Aid at Nottingham City Council for advice. Alternatively, you can contact the Nottingham HomeLink team for general housing advice.
