Public Transport Vision
Nottingham is a top city in the UK for public transport, with a new transport hub at the railway station, an extended tram system, and a great bus network with two award-winning operators.
To achieve this, the Council needs a strong and clear strategy.
Nottingham Local Transport Plan
The Nottingham Local Transport Plan (LTP) is an official document that outlines the City Council’s long-term transport strategy and a three-year investment plan. The current LTP started on April 1, 2011. Each year, we create an updated implementation plan. You can find the latest version below:
Our current funded programmes include:
- Transforming Cities Fund – Working in partnership with Derby City Council, Derbyshire County Council and Nottinghamshire County Council to improve access to employment opportunities and promote sustainable travel.
- Bus Service Improvement Plan – Working in partnership with Nottinghamshire County Council to think holistically about how to improve our bus network with innovative ticketing and greener buses.
- Future Transport Zones – Developing innovative transport solutions and trialling new initiatives to help shape the future of greener, more sustainable transport.
