Background

Nottingham City Council has allocated funding from its UK Shared Prosperity Fund to improve venues, facilities or outdoor spaces that will be used to support the delivery of community engagement activities.

Nottingham City Council recognises that community venues and spaces are vital to help residents and communities engage with social and cultural events which help to promote community cohesion.

We also recognise that these events and venues provide an ideal opportunity for local residents to engage with volunteering opportunities.

Funded through the UKSPF, the grant operates over a one stage application process by the submission of a full application.

The funding available to organisations through this grant scheme is capital funding.

Up to £24,999 in capital funds are available per venue/space. Applicants may apply for up to this amount. The minimum amount available per venue/outdoor space is £10,000.

These minimum and maximum amounts are per venue/space rather than per organisation. Therefore, applications from organisations looking to improve more than one venue / space can be accepted.

Eligible Projects

We are looking to fund initiatives that:

  1. Improve space within existing venues (e.g. kitchen area, meeting space) to allow new or additional community engagement activities to be delivered
  2. Create new, or improve existing, outdoor space which could be used to deliver community engagement activities
