Nottingham Clean Champions

Join in litter picking and meeting volunteers across the city by signing up to our Clean Champions scheme. Any resident, business, education establishment or community group can apply for their free litter picking equipment! We also support Duke of Edinburgh Awards and young people but an adult over the age of 18 must apply. See below for further information and how to apply:

Nottingham Green Guardians

The Nottingham Green Guardians programme aims to provide a wide range of volunteer opportunities. Whatever your skills, experience and interests we hope that there is a green volunteer opportunity for everyone. We understand that your time is precious so we have a variety of opportunities ranging from one off events, flexible roles as well as regular volunteer sessions. Examples include:

Opportunities to help support the health and wellbeing of Nottingham’s Communities

We are looking to expand our network of Health and Wellbeing Community Champions. A Health and Wellbeing Community Champion is a locally trusted person who is passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of people in Nottingham City. Helping others by sharing key health messages and signposting citizens to health services and much more! Library volunteers

Volunteering with Libraries is a fantastic way to be part of your local community, to make new friends & to learn new skills. We have lots of exciting events and activities across our library network which include everything from Chess Clubs, live performances for adults and children, gardening groups and our very popular Summer Reading Challenge crafts, fun and games.

Volunteer as a tenant or leaseholder on our Housing Assurance Board 

Housing Services are inviting applications from tenants and leaseholders to be a part of a new Housing Assurance Board of management that's being set up to check we're doing a good job. Most meetings will take place online around six times a year and you'll be given a laptop and paid expenses.

ChalleNGe Nottingham

ChalleNGe Nottingham Resources offers a comprehensive range of activities and opportunities for children and young people to stay engaged, active, and entertained outside of school. They provide various options, including drama, crafts, music, arts, and wellbeing. These activities and workshops are facilitated by a city-wide partnership of arts and heritage professionals, creative practitioners, teachers, youth leaders, and young people.
