Curriculum Service Study Support
Engineers of Nottingham
This weekly after-school club provides a fun and relaxed environment for pupils to learn about engineering and construction using K'Nex kit. Run in partnership with the University of Nottingham, students involved in a range of engineering courses support the sessions in a volunteer capacity.
Based on Nottingham's popular and well-respected Playing for Success approach, the team also offers a range of after-school study support opportunities.
National Justice Museum
The program is offered in collaboration with the National Justice Museum, Nottingham's distinctive museum of crime and punishment located in the Lace Market. It allows students to spend one evening a week exploring topics related to citizenship, crime, and punishment, while also enhancing their literacy skills and boosting their confidence and self-esteem.
Nottingham Castle (Museum and Art Gallery)
As part of the Gateway to Opportunities project, this programme is a partnership with the team at Nottingham Castle Museum and Art Gallery. Pupils come after school for one evening a week to learn about the history of their city. The programme encompasses a range of activities, including archery, cave tours and archaeology sessions.
New Art Exchange
This project is evolving in partnership with the team from Nottingham's innovative gallery venue, the New Art Exchange. As the sole venue dedicated to black arts outside London, it is conveniently located on the tram line near the Forest. Students visit the gallery weekly to engage with the latest exhibitions and gallery spaces. Through various location-based activities, they build confidence in learning and gain an appreciation and understanding of visual arts.
Nottingham Playhouse
Nottingham Playhouse offers a variety of engaging groups and performances for young people to take part in and enjoy.
We’re proud to work closely with many schools, colleges and universities throughout Nottingham. Our resources and programmes are designed to complement and enhance the curriculum across subject areas – using theatre and performance for fun and learning in equal measure.
