Have your say on proposed changes to Council Tax Support |

Nottingham City Council is consulting on future options for its Council Tax Support scheme which helps households on low incomes with their Council Tax bill.

Welcome to the Day Care Services at the Indian Community Centre.

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for our community members by promoting independence, meeting personal needs, and providing compassionate care. We understand the importance of maintaining a balanced, fulfilling life in your golden years, and our services are designed to support just that.  Indian Community Centre entrance

The centre provides services to those who may have dementia, physical or sensory disabilities or have mental health needs or are socially isolated or have other health issues. The Centre provides an environment where older people can receive help and support and develop friendships.

Our day care services are designed to offer a variety of enriching Indian Community Centre yoga activities that allow you to learn new skills, rediscover old hobbies, and stay engaged with the community. Our aim is to provide a vibrant  environment where you can enjoy every day to the fullest.

Our Activities are carefully planned daily and we understand the importance of personal choice, so you have the freedom to decide which activities you’d like to participate in. Whether you’re in the mood for something active or prefer a quieter pursuit, there’s always something for everyone.

There are newspapers, magazines, and books available to read. As our care is person-centred, we accommodate activity requests made by citizens and are always happy to receive suggestions.

Our wide range of activities includes:

  • Mind-Stimulating Games: Keep your mind sharp with quizzes, word games, and reminiscence activities designed to stimulate memory and cognitive function.
  • Sing-Along and Bingo: Enjoy the simple pleasures of group sing-alongs or join in on a lively game of Bingo—both are guaranteed to bring smiles and laughter.
  • Light Exercises: Stay active and healthy with light exercise sessions tailored to your needs, helping to maintain mobility and overall well-being.  Indian Community Centre activities

These trips are pre-planned and carefully organised to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time. Whether it's a shopping trip or a visit to a local attraction, we strive to provide opportunities that enhance your daily life. Indian Community Centre craft

Each activity is designed with your enjoyment in mind. We are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment where your choices and preferences are always respected.

Our services are delivered in a culturally sensitive environment, ensuring that your dietary preferences, linguistic needs, and cultural practices are honoured. We are dedicated to creating a space where you feel understood, respected, and comfortable.

We recognise the important role that carers play in the lives of our Citizens. Our service not only enriches the lives of those who attend but also provides valuable relief to carers. You can rest assured knowing that your loved ones are in a supportive and nurturing environment.
